Recipe: Mac-N-Cheese

For some reason I was just really feeling cheese this week, so here’s the first post of the week involving cheese!


  • Noodles (Homemade or the boxed kind! Make how ever much you want- it depends on how saucy you want it)
  • 3 cups of shredded sharp cheddar (shred this yourself, pre-shredded won’t melt properly)
  • 2 cups regular milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Flour
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 4 tbsp butter

Step 1: Make your noodles.

Step 2: Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat.

Step 3: Add the flour to the butter once all of the butter is melted. This creates a roux (see below).

Step 4: Next up, slowly add in the milk and cream, stirring it into the roux.

Step 5: Add your cheese (all of it) and stir, stir, stir. Season it if you feel like it. I love to add some salt and pepper to mine!

Step 6: Let this mixture simmer, stirring it occasionally, until all the cheese melts. \

Step 7: Remove from heat and add noodles! Stir it all up

Step 8: Serve and Enjoy.

      Depends on how saucy you want it. I made about 3 cups of prepared noodles
