I want to preface this post by saying that I am not a huge fan of cereal. You can ask my mom. She used to have to send me to the babysitter’s house in the morning with pop-tarts for me to eat. All the other kids ate cereal for breakfast, but I refused. Even now as a grown-up I tend to not eat a bowl of cereal often and if I do (brace yourself for this) I eat it dry. I know it’s wierd. But when my roommate told me about this really awesome place called ‘The Cereal Box’ I had to try it!

Located in downtown Arvada, the cereal bowl has it all. From just classic bowls of cereal (choose a box off the wall and they’ll make you a bowl) to crazy creations, everyone can find something they love. Or if you don’t like cereal as much as your friends, tag along for some amazing Instagram Photos. I mean look at this place:

See what I mean?? Anyways, wanting to make sure I got the full experience for this post I jumped on in and got a bowl of Unicorn Poop. Haris and Michelle were my co-adventurers, and well, we all couldn’t be more different in our choices of cereal.

First up is Haris’s old man cereal: Squirrel Treats. This brown looking mixture is composed of: Honey Bunches of Oats, Honey Nut Cherrios, Grape Nuts, walnuts and almond milk. Haris wasn’t too excited to come on this adventure. I’m pretty sure his exact words were: “I don’t want to eat a bowl of sugar.” But being a team player he came along and got the most boring thing on the menu.

And enjoyed every moment of it. What a grandpa…

Next up is Michelle’s chocolately bowl of awesomeness: CoCoA LoCo! THis bowl of choclate heaven comes with Cocoa Pebbles, Cocoa Puffs, Choclate Chex, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles, and chocolate milk. She had the bananas added on.

This picture is a little awkward because I didn’t give her much notice of it, but she rather enjoyed her bowl of chocolate. And well, she’s the person who’s been here the most out of the three of us, so I’d hope she’d say she really enjoyes this place.

Ahhhhh and lastly, my magical bowl of deliciousness: UNICoRN PooP! Now the second I saw the word Unicorn I was like “HELLS YAAAAASSSSSSS!” This tasty treat is made up of Lucky Charms, Trix, Froot Loops, rainbow marshmallows, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and strawberry milk.

Sign me up. I love a good marshmallow and I love a ton of little flavored marshmallows even more! And yeah, Haris was right, this is a bowl of sugar, but what is life without a little sugar, a lot of color, and a touch of magic?

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl of cereal (didn’t drink the milk afterwards of course) and would recommend this place a million times over! Like I said, it has something for everyone and it’s just so much fun! So make sure to check it out! Who knows, mayber you’ll see me there again too!
